The Data & Audience Platform (DAP) organization at Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer II to join their engineering hub in Hyderabad. In this hands-on role, you will work alongside Senior and Staff engineers to build the foundational AI/ML intelligence that powers identity, audience segmentation, advertising targeting, and personalization across iconic global brands like HBO Max, CNN, and Discovery+. You will bridge the gap between data science and software engineering, owning the full lifecycle of production ML workflows—from developing feature pipelines on Databricks to tracking experiments via MLflow and scaling batch inference systems.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field with 2–4 years of industry experience in ML, data science, or ML engineering (1–2 years if holding an M.S.).
  • Solid grasp of core ML principles (classification, regression, ranking, embeddings, and structured offline model evaluation) along with strong computer science fundamentals.
  • High proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and experience with at least one deep-learning framework like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Hands-on experience writing PySpark code for large-scale data processing and comfort utilizing cloud data lakehouses like Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Experience setting up end-to-end training pipelines, building clean modular code with unit tests, and tracking experiments using tools like MLflow or Weights & Biases.
  • Ability to leverage AI-assisted coding tools (like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or cloud native analysts) to independently accelerate development and documentation processes.
